Unions and Fairness

Independent Leadership—Equal Representation

Public employees are our neighbors. They keep roads open, community’s safe, and county government running. They deserve fair pay, safe conditions, and equal treatment—especially when raises or benefits for management come at the expense of frontline workers, new hires, or adequate staffing.

My opponent has accepted financial support from public-employee unions. I have not. That matters not because union members are undeserving, but because a County Supervisor must represent everyone.

I will not pit taxpayers against employees. Both deserve fairness. I will listen to workers, labor representatives, department heads, businesses, retirees, families, and every District 1 resident. Contracts, salaries, benefits, staffing, and budgets will be judged on the facts and on their effect on employees, services, and taxpayers.

Campaign support should never buy access or favorable treatment. I am not running for one union, management group, or special interest. I am running to represent everyone equally.

My commitment is simple: listen first, decide on the merits, spend responsibly, treat employees fairly, and keep the public at the table. Independent Leadership—Equal Representation

Unions supporting Lisa:

Lisa Says

“Making connections in the community and picking up more endorsements!  This past week I was endorsed by the Sierra Protection PAC and the IBEW Local 684 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) representing electrical workers in Mariposa County.  I'm so proud to have the support of so many unions in Mariposa which represents some of the best paying jobs in our area.  Hope to be adding the workers of Nature Bridge to the list who are holding their election today to become unionized.”
