WHO I AM
As residents of this unique county, we all cherish our beautiful, rural environment, the simpler lifestyle, the solitude, and fellowship. I want to preserve what we all treasure and work to enhance and improve everyone’s way of life. That is why I am running for District 1 Supervisor in Mariposa County.
I graduated from Mariposa High, married and raised my family here. My first job was as a CDF seasonal firefighter, then I worked in construction helping to build our county and roads, later I started a sawmill and logging business. Following my desire to guide and support young people through challenges, I first worked as a certified Group Supervisor at Mt. Bullion YCC, a hand crew fire camp, then as a Youth Counselor at N.A. Chaderjian Youth Correctional Facility. I earned my A.S. degree at Modesto JC. I became an educator in grades K through 12 at a private school.
I attend and serve at New Life Calvary Chapel in Bootjack and have been involved in community service since 1982 when I began work in the church, and in the community as youth pastor/counselor. I served for two sessions on the Grand Jury, and volunteered as a Poll Watcher for 21 years
My life has been about being of service to others and leading in a positive direction, which is why I want to represent my fellow residents in our county government as your supervisor. I’m confident I have the community background and skillsets to be effective and I ask for your vote in the June 2026 primary.
